I am not able to use the api code for OCRing the tif image.It abruptly terminates the application from line\"ret = objOCR.OCRX(img, 0)\".The program does not give any error. It exits abruptly
In the end, I did not download the software as I was looking for something from PDF to OCR, not just a graphics format to OCR.
This is a pretty decent OCR program for being free. However, I was only able to do 20 pages at a time, which is quite inconvenient when I have a whole batch of image files to OCR. I liked how I was able to walk through each page after the OCR process was completed to ensure it OCR\'d correctly, but unfortunately it\'s not very practical or accurate for OCRing quickly. I would only recommend this product for small OCR jobs that you can dedicate a significant amount of time to in order to check for accuracy yourself.
 I am very disappointed with the quality. With your product I would be better off retyping everything to begin with. I may have done something wrong but I don't know what.

extract chinese text with position I tried PDFtext. It can extract English text with information position correctly. But I fail to use it extracting Chinese text.
The Chinese chars use embeded fonts in my test PDF files. The original code is GB2312, but after using embeded fonts, the Chinese Code becomes Identity-H.
Could you please tell my how the PDFtext supports Chinese ?
